๐Ÿ“‚ Explorer Module Overview

The Explorer Module allows you to navigate through project structures similar to a file explorer. Instead of browsing files on your computer, you browse projects, folders, zones, and WBS elementsโ€”directly inside Triark. Each level lets you attach document references for easy access and control.

Explorer

The Explorer module is divided into three main views:

  • Zone Explorer โ€“ Browse and reference project zones.
  • Folder Explorer โ€“ Browse the folder structure of a project.
  • WBS Explorer โ€“ Navigate your project's Work Breakdown Structure.

All three views follow the same logic:

  1. Top Level: The project itself.
  2. Second Level: The project structure (zones, folders, or WBS).
  3. References: Attach documents or records at any level except the project root.

๐Ÿงญ How Navigation Works

  • Click on a project to expand its structure.
  • Browse the corresponding zones, folders, or WBS levels.
  • If a folder/zone/WBS element is transparent, it means no references are connected at that level.
  • If the element is yellow/filled, there are references further down in the structure.
  • You can click any element to view, add, or remove document references.

โž• How to Add References

To add a new document reference inside the Explorer:

  1. Select a Structure Level
    • You must select a folder, zone, or WBS element (you cannot add references directly to the project root).
  2. Click "+ Document Reference"
    • The button is only active when a valid element is selected.
    • Use this to link documents from the Document Module.
  3. Confirm and Save
    • The document will now be linked to the selected part of the structure.

๐Ÿ—‘๏ธ How to Remove References

  • Select the reference from the list.
  • Click Delete.
  • Confirm the action in the popup.
This will remove the reference, but it will not delete the document itself.

๐Ÿ”„ Visual Indicators

Icon
Meaning
Transparent Folder / Zone / WBS

Yellow/Colored Folder / Zone / WBS

๐Ÿ“‚ Example Workflow

Imagine you have a project called WindPark Alpha. Inside this project, you use the Folder Explorer to:

  • Navigate to Folder > Electrical Drawings.
  • Attach several PDF schematics as document references.
  • Visualize the structure, knowing exactly where documents are linked.
