When you click + Workflow, the creation process opens in a stepper format.
Step 1 β Project and Category
- Project β Select the project the workflow belongs to.
- Category β Choose from the dropdown list.
- Each category is tied to a specific action that determines the next steps in the workflow creation.
- These action links are configured in Standard β Workflow β Category and Statuses, and require specific permissions to access or edit.
- For example:
- A category linked to Approval will lead to an Info step, then a Files step, then Tasks.
- A category linked to Follow-up on Comments will replace the Files step with a Comments step before moving to Tasks.
- Status and Status Description (optional) β Set the initial status for the workflow.
Step 2 β Info
- Always appears, regardless of the category.
- Used to provide workflow details and context.
Step 3 β Category-specific Step
- This step changes based on the action tied to your chosen category. Examples:
- Files for approval workflows.
- Comments for follow-up workflows.
Step 4 β Tasks
- Always appears last.
- Assign and manage tasks related to the workflow.
