๐Ÿงญ Introduction to the Explorer Module

The Explorer module acts as your central navigation tool for accessing most entities tied to a project โ€” from folders and WBS to zones. If youโ€™re looking to quickly browse, locate files, or cross-reference documents in a familiar folder-style layout, this is the place to go.

๐Ÿ—‚๏ธ What Youโ€™ll Find in Explorer

Explorer is divided into three main views:

  • Folders โ€“ Displays the folder hierarchy for each project, including any referenced documents and file uploads.
  • WBS โ€“ Shows the Work Breakdown Structure connected to a project.
  • Zone โ€“ Helps visualize and access project-specific zones for larger or location-based documentation setups.

These views mimic a classic file system, making it intuitive for users to browse and manage content efficiently.

๐Ÿ” Filtering by Project

The Explorer view respects the global project picker in the top right corner of the interface. This means:

  • Youโ€™ll only see folders, WBS items, or zones for the selected projects.
  • This ensures you stay focused and avoid clutter from unrelated data.

๐Ÿ“Ž Adding a Document Reference

If you want to link a document to a folder for traceability and context:

  1. Go to the Folders view in the Explorer.
  2. Expand the relevant project folder structure.
  3. Hover over the folder you want to link to and click + Document Reference.
  4. Select the document you want to reference from the list.
  5. Click Save.

Done โ€” the folder now has a linked document reference thatโ€™s also visible in the Document Module.

๐Ÿ“‚ Navigating Back to a Document

If you previously followed the guide [โ€œIntroduction to the Document Moduleโ€] and created or found a document there, you can:

  1. Open the Explorer module.
  2. Navigate to the folder structure where you referenced that document.
  3. Locate the document reference
  4. Click the "Navigate to" button (located on the far right of the document row).

This action takes you directly to that documentโ€™s detailed view โ€” streamlining your workflow.
